I think of it more like a gradient that depends on so many different factors. For example, your genetics, your health status, how active you are, etc. can all impact how much you need to restrict carbs and how many ketones you produce throughout when you limit your carbs to varying degrees.

In general, the more you limit carbs, the more ketones you will produce.

6 pounds of weight loss in a month is good — Congrats on the progress!

In general, it is best to lose weight at a rate of 1 to 2 pounds per week, which is what you are doing.

The reason why your husband is losing more weight than you — despite the fact that you are eating the same thing — is because he probably has higher calorie requirements than you, which means that he is in more of a calorie deficit when he eats the same amount as you. The greater the calorie deficit the more weight loss.

You probably need to eat a bit less than him to increase your ketone levels and lose weight more quickly.
