No, unfortunately not. They are very different thickeners and for this recipe it wouldn’t work well with xanthan in place of the psyllium.

It’s most likely from the psyllium if you over-blend or leave it to sit for a while it will absorb more moisture. You could cut back on the psyllium next time to see if that helps.
